Who We Are
And What We Do
Our owner, Sid, spent the primary years of his childhood being raised by his grandparents, who spent their lives doing missionary work across South and Central America. There, they developed a fondness and appreciation for the rich food and cultures throughout, influencing how they raised their children and grandchildren.
This history and intention are not lost on our menu. Our use of handmade tortillas honors Sid’s frequent trips to the artisan Tortilla Factory with his grandmother, Alicia. Our traditional Hispanic recipes pay tribute to the other branches of his family, which you will see reflected on both our menus. These experiences have culminated in the expression of offering a humble lunch and elegant dinner service.
When you step into Verde, the first thing you may notice is the bright mural on our back wall depicting our owner’s grandmother, Alicia. The Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) theme that you will find throughout this restaurant is a deeply meaningful way to honor this heritage and celebrate family members from the past. When you dine with us, you’re dining alongside these celebrated and appreciated members of our family.
